Spent one week each in Brussels, Bruges and Amsterdam...camped the coast and made it back to MN in one piece.

amsterdam

got to the big city and am a bit overwhelmed.the bike system is amazing! its a nice sunny day and im gonna get a cup of coffee by the canals.i will not be staying in amsterdam, but will be back the 7th to meet ashlee.

Got to Prague Wednesday evening and slept

but Thursday, wow! Prague is smaller than I had expected but full of surprises. First I completely forgot that one of Frank Gehrys most famous buildings was here, The Dancing House. Walked around the entire day and ate a plethora of Czech foods. Chris, a family friend from Germany, recomended that I check out one of the many Black Light Theatres. I had no idea what it was but there was one close to the hostel so I went. And good god why did I sit in the front row. The performers pulled me up on the stage as part of the show! AHHHHHH! Definetly one of the most interesting and psychodelic performances Ill ever see, worth every second. A bit more low key today, apparently there is a Laundromat/bar place not far from hostel and I absolutely need to wash some clothes and have another Staropramen. I woke up and saw bits of blue sky today! Tomorrow heading out to try and make a Pilsner Urquell brewery tour then possibly Matz' house for a night before Denmark. From there Down to Chris' for a night or two with a visit to the Grolsch brewery and then finally to Amsterdam to meet Peteywheaty. Grog in Prague!

Back in Vienna for a day or two.

Croatia, Slovenia and Italy! All great places. The dalmatian coast is beautiful, best seafood ever, and cheap. Cool temps and scattered clouds. I rode with a fellow from Spain for 3 days and hit Venice together on the last day, quite a place! Then north through the Italian alps. Unbelievable scenery. Tomorrow I head out for Prague!

Budapest!

Three perfect days, two sun burns and one new city we have definitely made it to our eastern most city and our half way marker, Budapest! The ride from Vienna to here was great, super sunny and warm, cool nights. Stopped through Bratislava for a few hours but really wanted to keep riding. Yup, we are here!

So we decided to stay another night in Vienna...

Getting ready to leave Vienna...

Unfortunately, but Vienna has been a dream come true. Seen so many amazing places and met so many new faces. Kebabs and Schnitzels to the fullest! Lilacs everywhere. Visiting Vienna has completely solidified my desire to revisit Austria. Prost!

Vienna!

Just made it to Vienna today. We actually took different routes getting here and everything came together as planned. I rode to Vienna via Linz and Bennett took the train, both producing many great stories. Tomorrow and Sunday we will check out the city and meet up with Tanja, a family friend who has generously offered us a place to stay for a night or two. Thanks Tanja! Monday or Tuesday we head to Budapest!

we had to train out of switzerland because of the terrible cost.a mcdonalds meal was about $20! a can of coke was about $4!in austria about to head to fussen to see some cartoon castles...hard to upload pics on internet cafe computers but pics to come soon

Lake Geneva is AMAZING!!!

We are riding the west/north coast of the lake from Geneva to Luissanne. Coffee stops every 10k. Super friendly people, smooth bike paths on the lakes shore... the life!

In paris...crepes and all

just got into paris this morning from amiens...went through the busy busy city and got a quaint little room at the 3 ducks hostel.got some bread, cheese and nutella and went to the park to relax; an undercover narcotic team was working a sting and one officer asked if he could sit with us and talk to look less suspiscious.he filled us in on the details of the sting=very unexpected and 007...waking up early tmrw to hit the island (notre dame, st. chapelle...) and train to geneva.ready to ride the shore of lake geneva and soak up some mountain air.gonna try to catch a fish and cross one request off the list

France!

Threading the needle! We just made the ferry from dover to calais, france. Spent the night on an amazing beach, exellent sleeping. Heading towards Amiens today. Happy Easter all! Tons of pictures to come...

Next stop... Dover!

Leaving London. Hope to make it just outside Dover by tonight. Ferry in the morning to Boulogne Sur Mer, France! Will update blog when possible. Big thanks to Chris and his flat mates for showing us a hell of a time! Cheers!

yesterday was chris' birthday so we and the flat mates went to dinner and got some drinks...had a good time soaking up londons night life

Unpacking!

It took Bennett about 45 minutes to get all set up while I consumed about an hour and a half... I was still groggy from the flight I guess. The first half of our ride to Chris's was awesome, all tale wind and sun while the second half was rain. Birthday beers with Chris and his roommates tonight. Clear sky's tonight!

London is HUGE!

Smoothest plane ride ever. London is insane but absolutely amazing, traffic galore! More info to come, now... its food time.

24 hour countdown

got panniers, bikes in bike boxes, fresh clothes packed
all ready to go!...leaving mpls @2 pm (wed) & arrive in london @10 am (thur)
